On behalf of DC-Systems (by Schneider Electric), we developed and modernized their concept for a bi-directional converter within the Schneider Electric product range.
The applications of the Active Front End are countless in a world where DC applications are increasingly used (as a supplement to) electrical (AC) installations. Elektro International has now delivered 18 of these AFE panels and another 10 are planned to be built. The panels are used on projects in The Netherlands and abroad.
A good example of a smart application of the bidirectional converter is the pilot project ’Autonomous DC Charging Station’ by a.s.r. in Utrecht.
