Energy transport and distribution
Due to the growing number of assignments and to anticipate the future, a new data center (C) at Media Park in Hilversum must be realized. Commissioned by installer Hamer B.V. - which completely relieves NEP in this field of cooling and electrical engineering - STbenelux (a subsidiary and expert partner of panel builder Elektro Internationaal) has started to measure, design and implement the required busbar connections for energy transport.
STbenelux supplied the Canalis rail sleeve package (Schneider Electric) to make the connections between the energy distribution panels of expert partner Elektro Internationaal. Around 90 meters of rail were implemented in the KTA type of 2,000Amp to realize all connections between the main switchboards. In addition, a special underpass between two buildings was provided with rail to connect the NSA - which is in another building - to the new data hall. In the data hall itself, a lighter version of busbar (KSA / 160A) was used. With all busbar extra attention has been paid to the appearance by perfectly aligning all coupling pieces.
Panel builder Elektro Internationaal supplied a main distributor NET, a main distributor NSA and a main distributor for the data room, all set up in the Okken system by Schneider Electric. In addition, two UPS panels in Prisma P and 5 sub-distributors in Prisma GK were built.
Phases 2 and 3 of the expansion of NEP’s data facilities are expected to be realized in the coming 2 years.
