April 2019 - Emmen, The Netherlands
Commissioned by Linthorst Techniek, the utility team of Elektro International engineered various distribution panels for the National Storage for Archives in Emmen. The panels were assembled in the workshop in Woerden.
The former premises of the Topographical Service in Emmen have been transformed in recent months for use by the National Archive and the Tax Authorities. The National Archive has room for 750,000 archive boxes and the Tax Office has new office space. The government building (dating from 1984) of approximately 18,000 m2 has been radically modified and designed to be all electric.
The building in Emmen has been renovated and made suitable for the combination of archives (National Storage for Archives = NSfA) and Tax Office (Physical Work Environment Government = PWG). The entire building is powered by a transformer of 1,000kVA / 1,600A. This transformer feeds the 3.75 meter main distributor (MD) that Elektro International built in the Prisma P system by Schneider Electric. The MD of 650 kg distributes the power to the NSfA part and the PWG part of the project.
For the NSfA part, Elektro Internationaal engineered and produced a main distributor in Prisma P and 9 sub-distributors in Prisma G. For the PWG part, Elektro Internationaal supplied a main distributor in Prisma P and 5 sub-distributors in Prisma G. All sub-distributors were fitted with light and temperature control in KNX.
Elektro Internationaal also connected a mobile emergency power generator of 1,250A in case of failure of the transformer.
