October 2018 - Aalsmeer, The Netherlands
For years Elektro Internationaal has been the point of contact for maintenance, adaptation and modernization of the power distribution boards and control panels of the largest marketplace for fresh flowers and plants in the world, Royal FloraHolland. We ensure the auction’s power supply under all circumstances.
Last year, Royal FloraHolland commissioned Elektro Internationaal to replace all 8 emergency power controls. The existing control systems are about 15 to 20 years old and have thus come to the end of their life cycle. Not just the old Kühse controls, but all components (relays, breakers, etc.) will be replaced in the coming months.
To do that as efficiently as possible, we have chosen to remove the complete mounting plates from the existing panels and replace them with completely prefabricated new mounting plates produced in our workshop. Because all wiring fits one-to-one on the locations of the existing terminal strips, a plate can be replaced within a single day.
The new controls are equipped with the latest controller from Comap: the IG200. A secure connection via the GSM network allows remote viewing of faults and disturbances. The connection is made possible by MB connect units which are designed in such a way that they can still do their work even after a power failure.
The first controls have been successfully replaced. Another two will be replaced in November and the 4 in the beginning of next year. The replacement of the remainder of the controls in this series will be planned for a later date.
