Power for tomato farm in the desert

This month we connected the distribution panel that we built on behalf of CombiCoop to Schneider Electric’s Okken system.

The Okkenpanel is the third main distributor that we have been able to supply for the greenhouse horticulture project ’Desert Joy II’ in the desert of Tunisia. The company Agro Care grows tomatoes all year round in 7.5 hectares of closed greenhouse and 12.5 hectares of normal greenhouse.

The Okken panel, which will supply several greenhouses, is equipped with a generator control by DBR. An integrated multifunctional power analyzer monitors the quality of the voltage 24/7 and analyzes disturbances in the event of grid problems. The distributor also contains extra ’room’ for the future installation of an Active Dynamic Filter (harmonic filter), with which the quality of the power supply can be optimized. The panel also contains 4 solar inverters connected to the PV fields.

The distribution panel of over 4 meters long was shipped in 4 separate parts and connected on site by the Elektro Internationaal service team.
