April 2021 - Utrecht, The Netherlands
The 84,000 m² a.s.r. office on Archimedeslaan in Utrecht has been completely renovated into one of the most sustainable offices in the Netherlands with the BREEAM Excellent certificate. During this process, Kropman Installatietechniek was responsible for the development of the power plant with heat pumps and heat-cold storage system and the complete control technology. The ’Green-Parking’ project has been set up to make it even more sustainable.
In this project, the existing two-storey parking deck on the building will be converted into a charging plaza with space for almost 450 bi-directional chargers, electrical storage and 5,000 m2 of PV panels that provide the cars with sustainable energy. In turn, the cars can act as a ”battery” in the absence of sunny weather to feed electricity back into the building and parking garage system. Elektro Internationaal was commissioned by Kropman to supply the AC part of the electrical installation, which is placed behind the inverter. The contract was awarded to us because of our involvement in the design of the complex project.
