March 2021 - Leidschendam, The Netherlands
The brand new shopping paradise Mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam opened its doors on March 18th. With 230 shops, a fresh market, cinema and a parking garage, it offers a real attraction for shoppers.
Mapping and regulating energy consumption is an important part of the sustainability ambitions of owners Unibail / Rdamco / Westfield. The Utilities team of Elektro International was commissioned by Energie Techniek to design and produce the many distribution panels that are part of the electrical installation of the shopping mall. In addition, the Service Team has worked for weeks on end to install hundreds of extra kWh meters, which are linked to the Building Management System. Thanks to this expansion of energy performance monitoring, the envisaged BREEAM certificate could be obtained by the clients.
